Atlantic Ocean - Candice Cheung
My name is Candice Cheung and this is my most memorable experience with water. My family and I decided to go on a Caribbean cruise and it would be my first experience aboard a ship. As I sat on the balcony of my suite watching the boat crossing the Atlantic Ocean I found it so peaceful and relaxing to look out at the gorgeous blue waters. One of our ports of call was Barbados, and my brother Paul and I went snorkelling for the first time. We were taken far out in the ocean in a private boat by one of the locals. He took us out to a great spot that is known for excellent snorkelling. We got to explore the unique ocean life including; Coral reefs, starfish, sea turtles and an array of tropical fish. We were given food to feed the beautiful fish, and they brushed up against me, which was was a lovely experience.
When we had finished snorkelling we were taken to an island to have lunch and we sat on the ocean side where we could look out and see all the activity on the water. I think the most important part of this experience was being able to spend quality time on an adventure with my brother. I currently live in Toronto, and my brother lives in Bolton Ontario, so we do not see each other very often. Doing this snorkelling adventure together really meant a lot to me.
